Young Frankenstein, Rocky Horror, Silent Sundays at the Playhouse

This weekend is the start of a week full of entertaining events for you, your family, and friends to enjoy!

This Saturday, October 20th at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 21 at 2:00 p.m., Mel Brooks’ electrifying musical Young Frankenstein, starring Broadway/television star Adam Wylie, arrives at the Playhouse for one weekend only.

Bring the family to San Gabriel’s Fall Fun Festival Friday, October 26 at 5:00 p.m. for Trunk or Treating along Mission Drive, along with games and free screenings of Halloween cartoons inside the Playhouse.

After the festival concludes, we will be screening the 1975 cult classic, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at 10:00 p.m. There will be a limited number of goody bags available for purchase.

On the following day, Saturday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m., two-time Grammy Award winners Mariachi Los Camperos are back at the Playhouse with Tradición, Arte y Pasión: Un Día De Los Muertos En Mexico, a Day of the Dead themed celebration covering music from the 1920s to today.

Lastly, our Silent Sundays series with live Wurlitzer organ accompaniment continues October 28th at 2:30 p.m. with 1925’s “The Phantom of the Opera”, starring the legendary ‘Man of a Thousand Faces’ Lon Chaney! The film “has inspired countless remakes and imitations but none of its successors can rival the mesmerizing blend of romance and mystery that haunts every frame of the Lon Chaney original.”
