Phase one of the 2017-18 Great Streets Improvement Project goes out to bid

Good news, motorists: the first phase of the 2017-18 Great Streets Improvement Project is now out for bid. Bids are being accepted until August 2, and the scope of work includes road rehabilitation on the following streets:

  • San Marino Avenue (from Longden Drive to Las Tunas Drive)
  • Oak Lane (from San Marino Avenue to the west terminus)
  • Warner Lane (from San Marino Avenue to the west terminus)
  • Earle Street (from Elm Avenue to Las Tunas Drive)
  • Broadway (from Mission Drive to Junipero Serra Drive)
  • Alanmay Avenue (from Broadway to Live Oak Street)
  • Broadway Place (from Broadway to Agostino Road)
  • Mission Drive (from Sycamore Drive to Las Tunas Drive)

The engineer’s estimate for the scope of this project is $1,800,000 and includes pavement work, new accessible pedestrian ramps, bicycle lane striping and the repair of damaged curb and gutters. Partial funding for this project will come from SB 1 as well as the City’s general fund.
