Del Mar Avenue crossing to be closed from May 11 to May 14

Update: 05/08/2018 – ACE will be performing pavement work from the Del Mar Avenue crossing to Agostino Road beginning on May 11 at 9:00 p.m. Construction is expected to end by 5:00 a.m. on May 14. Pedestrian access will be available, but motorists on Clary Avenue will not have access to Del Mar Avenue. Instead, drivers should use San Marino Avenue to connect to Broadway during construction. We’ve included our original construction alert below.

05/03/2018 – Good news: the Alameda Corridor-East Project (ACE) will be closing the Del Mar Avenue crossing from May 11 to May 14 to complete paving north of the bridge to Clary Avenue.

If you’ve been following this blog, you probably know that the City has been embarking on a large paving project to address more than $50 million in pavement repair needs. To maintain our current road infrastructure, the City would need to invest more than $3 million per year. As a result of limited funds, the City tries to partner with outside agencies – like ACE – to embark on pavement projects like the Del Mar Avenue project outlined above.
