Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in San Gabriel May 3

Join us for a night of art, food and music on Thursday, May 3 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm in the Mission District as we bring back Cinco de Mayo Mercado. You won’t want to miss this festive event featuring artist Lalo Alcaraz:

This award-winning joker has spent two decades chronicling the political ascendancy of Latinos in America and pushing the boundaries of Chicano art. He is the creator of the first nationally-syndicated, politically-themed Latino daily comic strip, “La Cucaracha,” he co-founded the political comedy troupe Chicano Secret Service and he co-hosts the infamous “Pocho Hour of Power” on KPFK in Los Angeles (90.7 FM).

Join us for live entertainment on the outdoor stage, art demonstrations, a Mercado with Latin American artisans and crafters, free kids’ activities, a variety of authentic food trucks, and a beer and wine garden. We’ll have more information about the event as the date approaches, but for now, save the date for this fun free community event!
